The goal of this position is managing the group plus representation both internally and externally (e. g. within the business unit). The Service Manager (m/f) will assume field-specific budgetary responsibility, with a separate cost centre as the circumstances require, conduct annual reviews, and will be involved in resource and budgeting planning. Acting as interface with the customer for escalated service cases and being the main contact to the central service organization in Germany.

Your tasks

  • Employee development and talent management, i. e. increase the efficiency level of individual Field Service Engineers and on boarding of new employees
  • Drive continuous improvement activities when it comes to the relevant service processes in cooperation with the headquarter
  • Support your employees on customer site in escalation cases (delicate situations)
  • Define and develop solutions for customers (preliminary solutions)
  • Pick up customers’ service requirements and feed in internal organization
  • Regularly visit key customers
  • Support manufacturing customer from service side (requirements, consulting)
  • Sales support during the preparation of service offers
  • Ensuring know-how transfer from subsidiary to headquarters and vice versa

Your profile

  • Completed studies (University of Applied Sciences/University) or completed subject-related vocational training and corresponding work experience; You have a leadership/ supervisory/management experience in a similar area and international company
  • Work experience of at least five years in the field of complex industrial equipment and also with production/machines

  • Strong analytical as well as verbal and written communication skills in French and English are required
